VT-NYC by bicycle: a sample of my daily diet

Just in case you wondered what a vegetarian biker eats in  typical day during a hundred mile ride

 

here is my my diet for day 5 (Grand Gorge to Callicoon, NY)

  • 1 bag planter’s trail mix *(chocolate nut mix)
  • 2 Nature valey Granola bars
  • 2 Egg cheese and bagel sandwiches
  • 1 French toast bagel
  • 3 quart bottles of Powerade,  (pink lemonade x2, sour mango – not my favorite x1)
  • 1 tallboy of unsweeted tea (I wish I saw these more often)
  • 1 fresh mozzarella + bazil and tomato on grilled froccocia breat + bag of potato chips (gourmet deli)
  • 1 pint of beer (purple haze)
  • 1 big grab of sunchips – (harvest chedder)
  • 1 Almond Joy candybar
  • 2 slices of cheese pizza
  • 1 Arizona 24oz Rasberry Tea

in the heat yesterday, in addition to the powerade I drank approximately 6 quarts of water

 

I’m spending about $100 every three days on food.
